Welcome to GuilfordSniper.com, the official home page of the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office sniper competition; the 2009 Guilford County Sniper Challenge. The Sniper Challenge is the Triad areas premier sniper competition. This year’s challenge will be our 5th annual event and will be held on Friday May 8th and Saturday May 9th. Participation in the competition is open to any law enforcement agency or military sniper team (limited to one team per military branch).  The general public is also welcome to come out and watch the events and participate in non-competition activities.

***There will be a fun shoot which is open to everyone***
Anyone wishing to shoot this event ($10 for the 1st course & $5 for each additional course) will be allowed to shoot a short course of fire with a handgun & ammo provided by Glock, Inc. At the end of the Sniper Challenge the winning score of the fun shoot will be determined and the winner will receive a certificate for a Glock handgun. Proceeds from this event will benefit Special Olympics of NC. There will also be a sniper rifle shoot which is open to the public. It will consist of a 50 yard shot with an actual sniper rifle. The cost is $5 per shot (Kids shoot 22cal. Rifle for FREE) and the shooter will get to keep their target that will be signed by Sheriff B.J. Barnes.
